One of the greenest cities in Poland –above 20% of area is covered with parks and green. It is famous for its port but architecture of the city is impressive also. All the tourists who want to visit places of interest are welcome to follow the so called City Tourist Route marked with a red dashed line.
Sights
The Chrobry Bank
The most chic and eye-catching place in Szczecin are Wały Chrobrego (the Chrobry Banks/Ramparts); the residents of Szczecin and tourists love to go for a walk along them, especially as lots of cultural and entertaining events are very often organized in this area. It is 500 meters long and is located 19 meters above Odra River.
Castle of the Dukes of Pomerania
The symbol of Szczecin, a Renaissance Castle of the Dukes of Pomerania from the 16th and 17th centuries, destroyed during World War II, was painstakingly reconstructed, including its Mint (Museum) wing originated by the duke Phillip II and ended by the duke Francis. It is a cultural center where small, classical music, choral concerts are being held including the International Choir Festival and after-noon Sunday concerts.
Basilica
Cathedral of St. Jacob from the 12th centuries, presently, it is an archdiocese basilica.
Jasne Błonie
The John Pope II wide Green is a place for recreational activities. Nature lovers are encouraged to visit the Kasprowicz Park with its picturesque sceneries, unique species of exotic trees and bushes, and a rich world of bird species living around the Rusałka Jezioro (the Water-Nymph Pond). In the Park, there is a monument 'Pomnik Czynu Polaków' (Monument to the Actions of Polish Generations). It is possible to enjoy a trip by a small railway train around this open area.

Głębokie Lake
The biggest lake around Szczecin with a bicycler lane of 5 km and a walking alley round it.
Museum
Museums stock exhibits related to human history. Besides you can visit Polish Theatre, Contemporary Theatre, Puppet Theatre and other, cinemas as well as old churches.
The Sea Festival
For many years already, the City has been hosting numerous annual events and festivities, picnics, concerts and fairs known in Poland and throughout the world. In particular, we invite you to come and enjoy the Sea Festival, amusement park, fireworks display and famous old Tall Ships.
