The Saint Marcin Church
Under threat – in fact its one wall although in XV century it was still almost 2 km off sea coast – coastal erosion due to wave action.

Church Ruins
It is one of the most fascinating places on Polish coast. At small seaside village there is the last wall of a church- a European category monument. This bricked Gothic Church was raised on the highest hill around 1800 m off a coast line. For hundreds of years Baltic Sea got closer and closer. In 1750 cliff was just 50 m off a building and only 5 m in 1850. In 1874 the church got closed and in 1901 it collapsed as the whole north wall got into sea. In 1917 sea captured apse and since that time every several years sea captures other part of this building. At present there on cliff there is only the south wall.
According to folk tale from Gardes chronicle- the church in Trzęsacz had been the third Christian church at Pomerania.
It hardly probable that anything left from this old building as it was expanded over past centuries. Varied size and shape of bricks and varied construction styles testify to that (according to records from XX century). It had a Gothic chancel and a roman space.
